OOO STARATELI is the leading manufacturer of building mixes and paint and varnish production in the Russian Federation. OOO STARATELI is the large industrial enterprise with branches in regions of Russia and CIS-countries.
Our company applied to Bimmacon consulting company with the request to provide management accounting system and create an effective structure of financial and economic service at our enterprise.
They diagnosed the financial system of the enterprise and defined directions and objectives for mutual work.
As a result of mutual work the system of management accounting, management reporting and analysis methodology have been developed at our enterprise. The changes took place regarding principles of collecting information, documents circulation, structure of accounting.

The main aim of our cooperation with Bimmacon company was  the necessity to increase transparency and manageability of our company, which has seriously expanded for the latest years by having diversified in absolutely different spheres. In  the course of the project, which was aimed at the introduction of  management accounting and budgeting by Bimmacon experts together with our holding company management, the development and introduction of new approaches to finance management, planning, consolidation of  the holding company data were carried out.

From June, 2002 to November, 2003 consultants of your company were carrying out the project on re-structuring our company.
Our joint stock company is a diversified  holding company including 2 bread-baking complexes, complex of bakery production, 6 integrated poultry farms, agricultural enterprises, an instrument-making enterprise and retail network.

Our joint stock company designs, produces and sells automobile components to leading car factories in the Russian Federation. Assets of the company amount to about 500 mln rbl., an annual turnover is nearly 500 million rbl. without VAT.  Number of workers is about 1000 people.

We started developing and introducing  the systems of management accounting and budgeting when we realized the necessity of optimum control over the limited resources in the environment of fierce competition in the market of automobile components. We were first to train heads of economic departments and choose a consulting firm.

The decision about turning to a consulting firm was made since the introduction time was limited, and our own work could take more time and could be probably less successful.

In February, 5, 2002  we signed the contract on rendering design consultancy  services. Under the contract the technical project and the planned schedule of works on introduction of management accounting and budgeting were developed. The active phase started in July, 2002 after carrying out diagnostics and working out recommendations about the organization of accounting, planning and reporting. At the same time we were working on the choice of IT program– base of automated  accounting and budgeting.

Under the consultants’ recommendations we sufficiently  reorganized the structure of accounting, economic, financial services, computer-aided manufacturing department, redistributed functions, made personnel changes directed on strengthening the role and increasing the responsibility of specified divisions.
